The Breakfast Club

Under the direction of a rigorous assistant principle, five high school kids from various social cliques “a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, and an unlawful” are assigned Saturday detention together. At first seeing each other through conventional lenses, the students progressively let their emotional boundaries down throughout the eight-hour captivity. They establish common ground despite their differences via open talks on their challenges with parental pressure, social expectations, and discovering their real selves. These odd friends create friendships that defy the strict high school hierarchy as they share secrets, insecurities, and rebellious moments, therefore casting doubt on whether Monday will restore them to their designated social positions or permanently alter their viewpoints.
